Dia Mundial da Fotografia

Hoje, 19 de Agosto, celebra-se o Dia Mundial da Fotografia. Em jeito de celebração, deixo aqui uma fotografia mais "tradicional"...

p.s.: Esta foto é um dos meus primeiros auto-retratos. Tal como a foto "Lips", tiradas no mesmo dia, remotam a 2004.

Avalanche

Uma avalancha é um fenómeno que se verifica quando uma massa acumulada de neve se movimenta de forma rápida e violenta, descendo uma montanha em direção a um vale.

An avalanche is a phenomenon that occurs when a mass of accumulated snow suddenly moves quickly and violently down a mountain, and precipitate toward a valley.

Downfall

Segundo a mitologia Grega, Dédalo e o filho Ícaro, escaparam do Labirinto de Creta, graças ao engenho de colar com cera penas de pássaros. Mas ícaro não atendeu aos avisos do pai, e aproximou-se demasiado do sol, acabando por derreter a cera, perder as penas e a capacidade de voar.

According to Greek mythology, Daedalus and his son Icarus, escaped the Labyrinth of Crete, thanks to the ingenuity of pasting bird feathers with wax. But Icarus ignored his father's warnings, got too close to the sun and eventually melt the wax, lost the feathers and the ability to fly.

Hidratação

Apesar deste verão pouco quente, não nos devemos descurar de manter a pele sempre hidratada. Nada melhor como um bom 'creme' para espalhar por todo o corpo...

Despite this rather hot summer, we should not neglect to always keep the skin hydrated. Nothing better than a good 'cream' to rub all over our skin...

Vertigo

Há pessoas que sentem vertigens quando olham para baixo, a certas altitudes...

There are people who experience vertigo when looking down, from a certain altitude ...

Duchesse

Que se lixem as calorias... quem é que consegue resistir a um belo "Duchesse"?

Damn those calories... who can resist a nice "Duchesse"?
